Mr Goqwana was born on 28 February 1954. He received his MB.ChB and FCP at the University of Natal. A relatively new MP, as of 2009, he has served on the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, the Portfolio Committee on Sport, Arts and Culture and on the Portfolio Committee on Finance.
