Richemont Securities AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Compagnie Financière Richemont AG and is the formal issuer of Depositary Receipts, which are traded on the JSE. A depositary receipt is a claim against the company, in its capacity as the depositary, in respect of a one tenth undivided share of the rights of the depositary, in respect of an "A" unit held by it. An "A" unit is an indivisible unit in bearer form, consisting of one "A" share with a par value of SFr in the capital of Compagnie Financière Richemont AG, twinned with one bearer participation certificate with no par value in Richemont SA, Luxembourg. The "A" units are listed in Switzerland on the Swiss Stock Exchange.
