Jeffrey Thamsanqa Radebe

Minister Radebe was born on 18 February 1953. He holds a B.Juris degree from the University of Zululand; LLM in International Law from Leipzig University. He had served the ANC as Policy Unit head, a position he continues to hold. But had been member of the NEC – ANC’s decision making structure in between conferences - since 1991. He underwent military training with Umkhonto weSizwe (MK), and was once arrested and convicted under the Terrorism Act. He served as Minister of Public Works, Public Enterprises, and Transport prior to his appointment as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development.
